Opuntia was created as and edgy, irriverent and moody project, very close to what are the core genZ values which Eytys, as a brand, defiantly embraces.
Having sustainability central throughout the whole design process, Opuntia was developed fully and easily disassemblable, having each and every component wholly sustainable (either recyclable, like the innovative and still in development Eva-Batte-V foam used for the insoles, or bi-based, like Kuori, a bio-polymer made of organic waste, used for the outsoles and the protective cage).
These materials have also been reinforced through the use of advanced finishing processes, like Clarus, which heighten and improve the material's physical and chemical properties, lengthening its lifespan.
Packaging and retail stores have also been designed in a very thought provoking way, straying from the classic and usual design, but steering towards a more innovative and sustainable one, with the main goal of reworking the end-user’s mentality
